Russia's parallel imports dropped 23% year-on-year to $10.6 billion in the first half of 2026, according to the Industry and Trade Ministry.
The value of goods imported into Russia through the parallel import scheme fell to $10.6 billion in the first six months of 2026, down 23% from the same period a year earlier, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Roman Chekushov told reporters.
Monthly imports under the mechanism currently average about $1.7 billion, he said.
Chekushov added that the government does not plan to revise the current list of goods eligible for parallel imports.
"For now, the list will remain in the form in which it was last revised and took effect in May,"
he said.
In May, the Industry and Trade Ministry updated the list of products covered by the parallel import scheme, removing goods from brands including Acer, Asus, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Intel, Samsung, Toshiba, Braun and Spin Master.
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said at the time that the volume of parallel imports was gradually declining, but stressed that Russia was not seeking to completely eliminate imports from the domestic market.
Russia introduced the parallel import mechanism in May 2022, allowing certain goods to be imported without the trademark owner's consent. The Industry and Trade Ministry determines which products qualify, primarily based on whether the rights holder has withdrawn from the Russian market and whether comparable domestically produced alternatives are available.
